greeneyed
i know this has qs been posted a number of times, but i still don't get it? :/ my pc is under vista and the utorrent program i'm using right now is ver 3.1.3. the movie i'm trying to download is about 8 GB. my file systems are under NTFS. why does torrent keep popping up an error stating i don't have enough space? my drive C is almost full, so i have changed the settings of the downloaded files to drive D, which has a total of 126 GB free space. can anyone help, please? DreadWingKnight
When you changed the settings, did you remove and re-add the torrent you were trying to download?
greeneyed
i've done what you said, but the same error comes up. i've removed the file, re-added it and then opened the file from drive D to utorrent. i'm assuming the file should be re-opened in drive D? what am i doing wrong? DreadWingKnight
It's still trying to save the download to C:And the bottom section (Store, move and autoload) is set up horridly. You are going to have a LOT of problems with those settings.

DreadWingKnight
No.Uncheck the bottom three settings and set the upper two to the location you want your downloads to go.
greeneyed
ahhh right. i see what you mean. *facepalm* i followed your advice, and when i made a new folder in my external hard drive for the downloads, it still tried going into C: -- after removing and re-adding the file argh!! how is that possible? so i resort to a disk cleanup in C: and now i've got about 20GB of free space. i'll try to think of something when the space gets used up again. anyway, thanks loads for your help!! DreadWingKnight
Also, using the same location for both settings for the downloads will also cause problems.Set the "Put new downloads in" to "D:\" and turn off ALL the other settings.
