bcbgirl
Hi guy, I recently switched to Utorrent from the BitTorennt client. Every time I search and find the torrent I need then download it, the torrent will not open in utorrent it opens with BitTorrent, so I uninstalled BT from my computer, but utorrent will still not pick up the torrent files? What can I do? Or, what am I doing wrong? Thanks
Yenkaz
Options-->preferences--->GeneralPress "assosiate µtorrent with .torrent files"
Firon
Failing that, right click the .torrent file, right click -> Open With, choose µTorrent from the list, then hit "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file"
bcbgirl
Ok, so I followed the directions you guys wrote, but the button - assosiate µtorrent with .torrent files is not highlighted. What should I do? Thanks
Ultima
Do as Firon said? If not, just open any Explorer window, Tools > Folder Options > File Types > TORRENT > Advanced > Edit the "open" action > Browse > select µTorrent (the .exe file). Now press OK for every dialog. Change the association in your preferences."BONG...and yes, I did go through my registry to hunt out old bitcomet stuff, and deleted those keys... Rafterman
Hi guys, sorry to dig up such an old post but I am having the same problem as bcbgirl and tinque. I thought Ultima's solution would work however, I am using Firefox 3.0.4 and it does not have View & Edit Actions in Options > Downloads, therefore I cannot find a Torrent entry and remove it. Please can you help me with this, I have searched everywhere and can't fix this. Thanks
