missing / hidden files when using limit pre-allocation until 100%

i have noticed that i cannot find the files which are being downloaded using limit pre-allocation until they have been completely downloaded.

they are not to be found within the download directory . . . . where are they?

once the download is completely finished they then miraculously appear

if the torrent does not complete because of a lack of seeds then this is a bit of a problem - in this circumstance it would not then be possible to just accept what has been actually downloaded ....... because it is not there!
