adroitpink
BTGuard problems:1. When I enable the proxy through either the Easy Install or the Advanced Install or even following the old instructions, it drops my connections to all my torrents. (They just hover in the blue neither DL or UL).2. When I have the BTGuard proxy (SOCKS5) turned on I get a yellow triangle on uTorrent that says there's no incoming connections. No problem if I turn it off, though. EDIT: Oops, there is a problem when I turn it off. Now it's a red circle telling me I need to open up a port, a firewall/router is limiting connections. I really don't know how to do that. I recently installed an Airport Extreme but my Windows Firewall is set up to allow uTorrent access.Check My Torrent IP:1. When I have the proxy from BTGuard turned on, it does nothing. Gives me my regular, home IP address. 2. It will tell me under trackers anything from "actively refused by machine" to "connection timed out" or "Proxy connect error: offline (timed out)"Now, I've read this thread: http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=119436And I'm wondering if "port" 1025 just doesn't work? But I really don't know anything about ports.I realize this is a problem with BTGuard and not uTorrent but I was hoping someone on here could offer some advice. Thanks in advance! Firon
Sounds like your proxy isn't working. Contact the BTG support. Also, you can never get incoming connections with the proxy.
colsky
I was getting the same, i have tried a few things but the thing seems to have worked (fingers crossed it stays that way) - I went into preferences, connections - and enabled upnp port mapping. Seems to have done the trick.
Bahaman06
Here I found this workaround. It involves editing your hosts file on your local machine as some of Btgaurds proxies ip addresses dont all work correctly. I use utorrent and it worked for me. I am now able to download again. Hope this Helps.Basically go into your host file, paste this, save and restart utorrent.85.131.129.178 proxy.btguard.com85.131.129.153 proxy.btguard.com85.131.129.155 proxy.btguard.com85.131.129.156 proxy.btguard.com85.131.129.175 proxy.btguard.com85.131.129.176 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.105 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.106 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.107 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.108 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.171 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.172 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.173 proxy.btguard.com95.211.141.174 proxy.btguard.comhttp://forum.vuze.com/thread.jspa?threadID=109131&start=50&tstart=
