Proxy connect error: host name not found

Hi

I am desperately trying to find help, I have spent the better part of today on google and this forum but cannot find the answer

I have Utorrent 3.0 with BT Guard, It was working but slowly so I set a static IP address then opened a port it was working really well for about 5 mins then nothing, it says 0 of 0 seeds and 0 of 0 peers, under trackers it says 'failure connection timed out' and on the speed test it says I have a 'Proxy connect error: host name not found. The port test says it is opened.

Thru reading other posts Ive seen information about my firewall blocking DNS Port but I do not understand how to fix this if it is the problem.

Do you mind taking me though it simply? I am not technical, everything Ive learned has just been reading peoples instructions in forums such as this

Kinda old post, but I imagine you'll have to go on BT Guard forum / tech support or other site that deals in anonymous browsing. I don't know much about it. UTorrent forums doesn't officially support 3rd party apps, AFAIK.

I'm sure lots of people would like to know if you find anything useful - post back.
