Talcominthemiddle
I'm relatively new to file sharing and such and I know some ISPs are more strict on bittorrent traffic, namely my father's. I was only wondering if I can just simply not run utorrent when I'm at his apartment which would result in no incoming or outgoing data, right? Can the ISP still find traces of torrent files even if there is no client running? kotekzot
no, they can not. an isp should only be able to see your current network activity, not your past activity, the files on your computer or what you did last summer.
madisonp_3
Aside from proxies, is there any way to prevent or hinder "someone" from seeing torrent content?
kotekzot
proxies don't prevent anybody from seeing anything. vpns do. and no, there isn't.
