Maedros
Hey guys, i didn't do a thorough search, but from a quick one, i didn't see anyone else having the same problem.Every time i ask from u torrent to initiate, it might be a magnet link, or trying to open a torrent file, or trying to open u torrent itself, or even when i try to install the latest version of u torrent, well, u torrent loads on task manager, i see it running but the interface doesn't appear. I am having this problem for more than a month, and i have been forced to switch to Vuze - former know as Azureus - but i would like to solve the problem and return to our favorite lightweight solution, u torrent. I realized that if i allow it a significant amount of time to pass, like, 10 minutes, it might eventually show up, like now that i have just tried to install the latest version. Here is what is happening right now. I downloaded latest version, and clicked to install it. Nothing happened, but it was there on my task manager devouring resources (more than 600mb of ram). While i was writing this post, the interface popped in my face (after ten minutes or so). I clicked everything needed so the installation started. After a little while, all windows dissappeared, and now 10 minutes after this, i have u torrent on my task manager running and consuming 1.58 gb of ram. i am using- core i7 intel,- nvidia graphics card- windows 7 pro x64- 4gb of ram- commodo internet security premium (free software)while i was still writing this post, i got an error message from u torrent saying "windows run out of memory, unable to allocate 134217728 bytes. please close some applications and press ok.". I am forced to close it from task manager. Same things happened on my sister pc, which is using the same software but its amd based hardware. (ati graphics, amd proccessor). Hint: I have tried to disable my firewall/antivirus, no result. I have downladed the x64 version, no result. Please help!
Firon
What version of the client are you running? And it seems like the common factor is Comodo... I'd try uninstalling it altogether.
Mac-the-Knife
Firon, thought it worth mentioning that I use Comodo free firewall along with Avast antivirus and the 3.2 beta versions work fine with it. I never used any of the 3.1 series and so cannot comment on them. I am however only a low user who doesn't normally download more than one torrent at a time. mcaspi
Make sure that uT isn't running, open the folder %AppData%\torrent , delete the files settings and settings.old, run uT and the setup process will start.
