TenthGen
I picked a few magnets from TPB or other sites, and as my hard disk is structurally full because of the seeding I try to do, I often have error messages "no disk space while downloading".Each time it happens I free some space by switching files to an external disk, and then go to the bottom of the torrent list and manually restart torrents that were stopped with an error message. But magnets that did not downloads torrents are nowhere to be seen; where can I find them and tell them to restart looking for the corresponding torrent file? foxfire9
when you use magnets it relates to install a program then you had full disk maybe the OS or hard disk drive (HDD) has the problem. Try download the torrent file (.torrent) instead of magnet link.
TenthGen
Thanks but I don't really understand your post. And TPB doesn't provide torrent files anymore, anyway.
WLS
First place I would look is my clipboard. If not there, return to the site where you found it, and grab it again. If you think there will be a problem with disk space, try opening a blank text file in notepad, give the link(s) a descriptive name so you know what it is for, and paste the link(s) into the file. Save it as magnets.txt. Use the file to add the magnet link(s) when you have the disk space. If you don't have room for the text file, it is time to clean up your hard drive. When is the last time you did a defrag?
TenthGen
Thanks. The problem is that I have dozens of magnets that I grabbed on various occasions, and I don't always remember which ones (when I read an article about a good movie I go to TPB and try to find the magnet, and usually I don't bother until it get downloaded a few weeks after)...That's why I'm looking to where they are stored on the computer.About the defrag, I didn't dare to make one since I had a SMART event on my HD, a few months ago. Andreasvb
You could just save the links, as Magnet Links are just that, until it downloads the .torrent-file from the swarm.Save the URIs in a text-file, just the links, and when you want to download just paste the link in µTorrent with Ctrl+U. That places the magnet in my Clipboard, where it will remain until I empty the Clipboard.
ivibe
I had magnets before a reimaging this morning and was watching movies in record time. ut free edition worked great! Did a reinstall of my system (repair from system image) but most of my apps/progs had to be reinstalled which included ut free. I have no idea where I got the magnets, what they were called, what I needed, why i needed them, where they were installed. Know that it takes considerable effort to be dumb as a rock but being old is just as effective. I am a movie watcher (old) so movie magnets? My hard drive was pretty full, my mouse just went ape and there were other problems too. It began when I tried to install ut plus. Now, after the reimaging this morning, when I try to download a movie from tpb (US), I get the "magnet missing" error message. I reinstalled ut regular this time which is what I was effectively using yesterday before I "reimaged" this morning. My mouse is still acting up too but not as bad, so while the mouse issue has nothing to do with ut or magnets or a virus from ut plus, if anyone knows anything about anything, let me know, k? ty
