lissathecocoa
I downloaded a torrent and downloaded the files completely. I removed the torrent from my uTorrent client. Some time later, I went back to re-add the torrent so I could seed. But when I set the location and did a force re-check, the bar climbed to 1.2% and then completely stopped. I tried several times, and kept getting the same result.I've checked the download location, and it's correct. I checked the file names and they are all identical. I'm trying to upload the exact same files using the exact torrent from the exact site I downloaded the files from on the first place. All the files are complete and open perfectly. I even redownloaded the torrent, but that did nothing.I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong...help?
JRJackson
I just started having same problem. 40% of all torrents have Red Exclaim mark. I try resetting Download Location first but I get message "File already exists do you want to OVERWRITE?" I cancel out. Once I do Force re-Check then Red mark turns to Dull Gray Dot and the Torrent gets ready to start re-downloading IF I click Start. I immediately STOP. So I'm in a mess. I verified the Ext HD with Disk Utility and it's fine. Still working with other torrents etc. How do I FIX WITHOUT Re-Downloading everything. I have films, etc I just can't RESEED anymore... JRJackson
One thing I just discovered:On the torrent that has Red exclaim Mark. I do a right click and go down to ADVANCED. Then I choose SELECT DOWNLOAD LOCATION. It usually is ALREADY correct but I select the path again, anyhow. Sometimes it says FILE ALREADY EXISTS DO YOU WANT TO OVERWRITE. I choose YES. At that point in the uTorr window the Red Exclaim has changed to a dull gray dot. THAT is when you can then do a FORCE RE-CHECK. DO NOT click the START button because it will start re-downloading the file all over again. So far this has been working for me. It is slow & tedious but at least it is working. Durand
(FIX) Not entirely sure if this will work for everybody but i found that if you right click the torennt giving you trouble and go to Remove and Delete .torrent (NOT .TORRENT AND DATA) JUST THE TORRENT and re download the same torrent from the same site you used originaly it will pick up from where it left off
lissathecocoa
Just FY - I figured out the problem. When I went to Advanced > Set Download Location, I was setting the wrong download location - I was selecting the actual folder all of my files were in instead of the parent folder of that folder. What I mean is - let's say I have a folder named "Books" and then I have a subfolder named "Book 1" inside Books, and I have 26 chapters inside the "Book 1" folder. I was trying to point uTorrent towards the "Book 1" folder when I should've been setting "Books" as the download location.Once I fixed the location, I forced a re-check and this worked properly - 100%. Then I just hit start and it started seeding.
