Suddenly stopped downloading

I have used uTorrent for over a year with no troubles. I have been very happy with it until now.

For some reason when I open the program, no matter what I do, uTorrent will NOT download for me. I am a Comcast user, but they say they are not blocking me. I even set up a separate wi-fi network, but it didn't fix it.

I have looked through the FAQ, but it isn't in there. Please help.

unfortunately, there is such a bug on beta versions, we are fixing it.

If you could give us more information as to what version of client and OS you use, as well as additional details (is any), it would be muh appreciated.

the torrents have seeders...it just completely stopped downloading as of about 2 weeks ago.

I am having the exact same issue, running the exact same versions. I've never had issues in the past and this is driving me nuts! Please lend a helpful hand!!

a quick update for everybody else in the boat...tried my luck with transmission and everything works fine. must be a utorrent bug..

I'm having the same trouble. One minute it worked and the next it didn't. No matter what torrent I try to download, it shows 0 seeders and 0 peers. I can try and download something with hundreds of seeders and it always says 0 and won't download. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing uTorrent, I've reset my router to original configuration and re set it up, and I've even gone so far as to wipe my hard drive and re-install everything from scratch. I even tried downgrading back to uTorrent 1.6.3 but that didn't work either. Nothing seems to work.

I don't know if it has anything to do with the bug or not but I received notice from my Internet Security program that I was being flooded with requests from IPs wanting to connect to my computer. I thought it might have something to do with the problem that's why I went ahead and reset my router and performed the clean OS X install on my laptop just to make sure my setup wasn't the problem.

My Configuration:

MacBook Pro early-2011

Router Asus RT-N56U

Mac OS X 10.7.4

uTorrent 1.6.4

If anyone has any ideas to fix this, I would appreciate it if you'd let me know. Before I chose uTorrent, I tried the other bit torrent clients available and I don't like them anywhere near as well as uTorrent so I'd like to get it working again.

I don't know what finally worked but I have my uTorrent working again. It's working with uTorrent 1.6.4 on my early 2011 Macbook Pro running Mac OS X 10.7.4. I finally uninstalled the downgraded version of 1.6.3 and re-downloaded and installed 1.6.4. After checking all my preferences, I did a quickie download to see if it would work and it did. Now if it will stay working, I'll be fine.
