OneFuckingYear
I like to use encryption because of cumcast's increasing frequency of threats to mess with people that use bittorrent file sharing (even things like Linux distros or any website that doesn't want to waste bandwidth). But I've had protocol encryption enabled for a week now and I haven't noticed any difference in speed, even with files with only a few peers. Shouldn't the speed be a lot lower due to the lack of people using outgoing encryption?
ktetch
In a word, NO. most clients have it set to use encryption if available.
