Hypnotised
I rarely use Bit Torrent, but I really wanted this particular file. It's an ISO and it's 4.75 GB. It was downloading at between 500 - 600 Kb/s last night, then it crashed down to nothing, occasionally at 0.1Kb/s. I had downloaded 90,9% of it. I was so close! What is going on?I'm running Windows 7 UltimateBit Torrent 7.6.1RAM 3.00 GBCPU 3.00 GHzWindows Firewall (not in your Firewall setup guide) I did add Bit Torrent to the Allowed and Incoming list.Download speed 5.17 MbpsUpload Speed 632 KbpsHigh Speed connectionISP is AT&TModem is Speedstream 4100I Made the following changes per your forum:Set the upload limit to about 80-95% of your connection's maximum upload-speed/cap. (500 Kbps)Set "Bandwidth->Apply rate limit to transport overhead" to enabled.Set "Bandwidth->Apply rate limit to uTP connections" to enabled.Maximum number of connected peers per torrent is 50.In your instructions where it says :"Test your download speed again now with this (test torrent...)" that link is broken.Port used for Incoming connections 51333Made these new settings:2a. Set pref->advanced->net.uTP_dynamic_packet_size =false2b. Set pref->advanced->net.utp_initial_packet_size = 8[3] Set pref.->advanced->bt.tcp_rate_control = falsePut new dat file in my bit torrent directoryReset bans and Cleared peer list and re-started application.Enabled Protocol EncryptionDisabled bt.tcp_rate_controlChange uTP settings from 21 to 31peer.lazy_bitfield is enabledI don't know what else I can tell you. I'm so close on this download and it's kind of frustrating.I'll restart after making all these changes and let you know.Thanks.
Hypnotised
After re-boot, nothing changed. If I re-install, won't my torrent go away? I don't want to lose the 90% download I already have.Thanks.
DreadWingKnight
What's the listed availability for the torrent?
Hypnotised
What's the listed availability for the torrent?Honestly, I'm not quite sure how to check that. I'm a novice. The status bar is light blue. Under Info tab it says Peers: 21 of 51 connected (14 in swarm) Seeds: 0 of 0 connectedDHT: 327 nodesDownload speed is still 0.1 Kb/sAlas! I just noticed this! When I went to the Ratings tab, there were about a dozen different comments that all said "Stuck at 90.9%." Mystery solved, sort of. Guess it's just bad, huh?Guess I'll just delete it and all its folders, and start over again with a different torrent.Besides making sure the new torrent doesn't have the exact same name, file extension and size, is there any other way to insure I'm not downloading the same torrent again? When I scrolled down on the Info tab, it said Created by Azureus/2.5.0.4 Completed on: IncompleteSo there you have it.Thanks. Hypnotised
Info tab - availability.OK. Now I know. After I saw all those comments that said, "...only 90.9% complete." and then it said Completed on: Incomplete. I went ahead and just deleted the torrent. No use. Thanks for your help. Guess I'll start over again. I learned a lot.Regards.
