realmain
I had 28 gb of space on my HD, but after I started and stopped a 7 GB download, I only have 21 GB of space left, which leads me to believe that uTorrent is reserving download space for that file.Is there a way to recover this reserve space? And to turn it off too?

realmain
I do not see any incomplete files in my download folder. I did right-click -> remove torrent & data when I stopped it. So is there a way to recover the space reserved? And how do you turn off the reserving? I do not see that in the options.

I checked it after I your reply. XDWhere is pre-allocate?EDIT:NVM I found it, my pre-allocate is always off, but why whenever I download a torrent, it still reserve space for the torrent?
