utorrent plus not converting to ps3?

bought utorrent plus for the file converter as i was having trouble converting files to ps3 for my bro. when he plugs them into his console there aint nothin there, on his computer with vlc all we get is a black screen with no min/hours just slow moving time line? i'm a novice, be nice. thanx
