gazmak
Hi. I did know how to do this but cannot remember. Here's the problem I had:I use Sandboxie on my Browser. I found a torrent that I wanted at The Pirate Bay and clicked to download it into uT v 2.2. I do not have uT running in the Sandbox.I went and played a computer game for two hours and eventually Sandboxie notive popped up on screen saying that uT *********file was ready to be 'Recovered' out of Sandboxie. I assumed that the torrent had finished downloading so I shut down the game I was playing and clicked to recover the download from Sandboxie. Now this is where I get real hacked off because the download hadn't completed. All that was in the folder to which I save downloaded torrents was the NFO file. Now after some digging around to find where the hell the download had gone it was nowhere to be seen or found using recovery tools so I went to start downloading it again and there became visible in the D-load folder two instances of the torrent, the 'lost' one and the new one. Thinking that uT would latch onto the file that I had which is 4.8GB done out of 7GB in size. But it doesn't. Starts a new fresh download. How can I get the 'new' download to be a continuation of the old one? I don't fancy downloading another 4.8GB for nothing if I can help it.I have also noticed that there isn't a folder of saved uT icons for the torrents I download. There used to be one a couple years ago and from memory if one clicked the relevant icon then the download of that torrent would reappear in uT interface and start from where it had been lost/cut off, after doing a Force Recheck. So, what's the magic here to get this done2.5 hours to download an NFO file.....I don't think so.Help appreciated thanks
jbebad
The same way if it was a 1mb file. If you already have the data file and you load the torrent, then Set Download Location or relocate the file, force re-check, start. I have no idea why you would think the size of the file as anything to do with how you recover. If the force re-check does not confirm you have already downloaded the file, then you have either download the wrong torrent or pointed it to the wrong file. I will try that on the old torrent when the new download is complete. About an hour to go.I did try what you said just now and I had a notice telling me that "the the torrent is already in my list and do I want to load the trackers from it"? I didn't get the window that opens to ask if I want to download with uT like one usually gets on screen when choosing a torrent to get.It was most strange because the reference to the old torrent had disappeared from the uT interface along with the file that was partially downloaded.I hadn't made a mistake and wrongly picked two different torrents. I chose the same one from the same uploader on TPB.I will post back the result to your suggestion soon as this download is done.Oh, I forgot to mention, after the sandbox recovery that I did I was Blue Screened back to reboot. Computer started ok and that was when torrent file and reference to it in uT were missing.Well about 10 minutes ago I I had the same BSOD again. BCC Code 0x0000000a................memory problems from what I have learned by Googling. My computer is in good shape, I'm running W7 x64 Ultimate on Gigabyte MA74GM-S2 Mobo, AMD Athlon II x64 630 2.8GHz, 4GB DDR2 ADATA Dual Channel RAM (2x2GB sticks matched pair), 1x1TB Master HDD and 3x2TB HDD all Seagate Barracuda Sata 2, Palit Nividia GeForce GT520 and 650W Coolermaster Xtreme power PSU.2x LG DVD-RW optics and 2x 2TB extrnal Seagate Expansion HDD.I'll be doing a disk check when all this download is done too. Thanks for the knowledge, I'll get back asap.edit: I know its irrelevant the size of the file when trying to get it started again. 1MB or ZTB, the process of connecting to it is the same. Also, I have noticed that the NFO in this new download hasn't completed yet and the download is at 67%. What I'm saying here is that the NFO in the 'old' download probably was done when the torrent reached the 3/4 done stage and that is when Sandboxie popped up on screen saying 'Ready for recovery". That is when I ok'd the recovery and there was only the NFO done. It didn't recover a partial file. Bummer. I didn't use the sandboxed browser to go to the pirate bay to get this new torrent. So I don't expect any pop-ups with false info in them. Just checked the D-load and its at 71% and the NFO is done, no pop-up from sandboxie so I'll plod on.Thanks all the same for your help. I'll be back.
