download VERY slow or not connecting

I'm new to this but all looks quite easy and I listened to many tutorials to get familiar with it.

I run a Mac OS X, and on Lion

I have been trying ti download a file on Pirate Bay for over 24 hours and only at 11%. I selected the location with most amount seeders and now while in uTorrent seeders are at 0 and peers keep growing now about 53. Status shows as "inactive" in left column.

What can I do to get these files faster?
