Pannkakan
Hi!As the topic says I am having some problems with my uTorrent. The thing is that I am unable to add new torrents to the torrent-list. Whenever I double click a torrent/try to drag it into uTorrent/ try adding it through Add Torrent button it does not end up as a new download. Nothing happens. There is however a slight loading in uTorrent, but nothing ends up there.I've recently changed router and internet provider, could this have any difference? I have been able to use uTorrent perfectly fine before, but I find it strange that I am unable to add anything at all.Would be most grateful for any ideas what might be wrong. PannkakanEDIT: Also, maybe I should add that the torrents that I already have is uploading data.

Pannkakan
You mean in the uTorrent interface? At 'Torrents'. This is not my picture, I am using uTorrent 3.2.

typicalmale
I think I'm having the same problem...I double click the "Get this torrent" from website, and it don't automatically show up in UTorrent..I have to copy link address, and physically open UTorrent, go to and "add torrent from URL" that seems to work..but its kind of a pita. Pannkakan
@DreadWingKnight I don't understand how that would help since you cannot even see the torrents anyway, but here you go:@typicalmale Yes, that sounds almost like my problem. However, when I try the method you describe I get this error message:Unable to loadtorrent.linktorrent is not valid bencoding! Many thanks for the feedback so far! DreadWingKnight
In order for uTorrent to load from a url copied like that, the url MUST be to the torrent itself, not to the description page of the torrent on whatever site you're using.http://slackware.com/getslack/torrents.php - do slackware torrents give the same behavior? Pannkakan
That link works, I do not get an error message. However, I am still unable to download the torrent, it doesn't end up in the uTorrent at all.
DreadWingKnight
Even when you copy the link to the torrent and attempt to add it?

Pannkakan
When I try adding the slackerware torrent I get this error message:[2012-09-09 15:10:45] UPnP: Device error "http://192.168.0.10:64185": (-2) When I try adding a .torrent file I get a message that says:[2012-09-09 15:10:16] Accepted launch|Type: auto Location: D:\torrentname.torrent
DreadWingKnight
Enable the "#" column in the upper panel and sort by it so that #1 is at the top.
Pannkakan
When I try sorting them after # they just end up alphabetically, except for two files at the top. None of my torrents have a number in the # column.
Pannkakan
Just found out another very confusing thing. When you add a new torrent you are supposed to get a 'Add new Torrent' pop-up where you can choose which files you want to download etc etc. I do not get this pop-up. However, when I close the uTorrent window, these pop-ups appear when I tab between programs. I am unable to tab to them though, but they appear as processes running in the Task Manager.EDIT: Managed to solve the problem. I reinstalled it and deleted all previous settings, so now it works as a charm. Thank you for the help!
