robert666
I'm trying out a proxy server (not the free one offered by TPB) but I want to make sure it's working. Is there any way I can check my IP (at least the IP that the world sees) in uTorrent to make sure it is sufficiently masked. Thanks.
ciaobaby
If the proxy supports HTTP, you could set a browser to use the same proxy and use whatsmyip.com to check it.
ciaobaby
By the way, that method is not 100% fool-proof, as other processes could "leak" your true IP which are configurable in Options -> Preferences -> Connection

ciaobaby
Added as a proviso:If you use the Tor network, https://www.torproject.org/ and http://www.checkmytorrentip.com/ DO NOT leave the checkIP torrent running. Because Tor is a rotating proxy system to "load share" and there is a IP count limit on the checking system you will get the torrent hash blocked or cancelled.
