mpeg3s
I've just installed the latest Utorrent 3.2 and I've had all types of Utorrent icon issues. After reinstalling the second time I get all icons but the bottom task manager. If I pin then un-pin the icon comes back temporally for as long as the app's execution.Help!
ciaobaby
If I pin then un-pin the icon comes back temporally for as long as the app's execution.Errm? Yes, that is the normal [Windows Vista & Windows 7] behaviour for any application that is not "pinned" to the task bar, it only appears as a "button" while the application is actually running. mpeg3s
None of these suggestions fixed the missing ICON.Let me state that a Windows substitute icon exists in place. It's only a Utorrent problem!
rafi
It's only a Utorrent problem!Yeah, and you are the only one with Win7 (32/64 unknown... ) experiencing it... :/
ciaobaby
delete the icon cache (iconcache.db) from %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Iconcache.db it is a hidden file in a hidden folder, then reboot.
rafi
And I didn't even know there is such cache... So, now we are blaming M$, not uT, right ?...
ciaobaby
Not necessarily, but if desktop or start menu icons start 'messing up' that is the usual supect, as was ShellIconCache in Win9x to Win XP. Deleting and restarting rebuilds the cache and the index.
