justmindy Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 I'm on a Samsung Galaxy Prevail. I'm connected to wifi that doesn't block torrenting as I use my laptop here all the time. In the app here are the current settings:Download = unlimitedUpload = unlimitedIncoming TCP port = 6882On the actual torrent it says 0.0% completed 0 b/s ETA unknown. There are 302 seeders and 219 leechers on the torrent.Any tips tricks or ideas?
ciaobaby Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 peers not 'leechers' the bittorrent client can not tell who downloaded then did not seed it after completion, which is what a 'leecher' is.Is the port forwarded on the router to the IP your Galaxy is given?
justmindy Posted September 29, 2012 Author Report Posted September 29, 2012 I meant on the pirate bay page how many seeders and leechers it show. The port is the one the app put in. How do I know what it should be?
ciaobaby Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 Piratebay's trackers have been shut down for almost THREE YEARS so relying on that number to be correct probably isn't the best thing to be doing.the port can be found on Preferences -> Connection in Windows, The Android client may be the same but as I've never used it I am merely speculating.
justmindy Posted September 29, 2012 Author Report Posted September 29, 2012 OK I probably sound dumb. I apologize. So can I just see what port my laptop uses and use that on most likely?
ciaobaby Posted September 29, 2012 Report Posted September 29, 2012 The port your laptop uses will different to your tablet, as will the IPs, and a listening (incoming) port can only be forwarded to one IP.Setting your router to give fixed IPs to your laptop and tablet may be necessary if UPnP isn't working between client and router.
trilokavijaya Posted March 3, 2013 Report Posted March 3, 2013 I'm having the same issue. However I'm just straight connected from nexus 4 to the carrier.
