Open downloaded file warning message

Starting from last stable update (3.2 build 27886) utorrent will popup an annoying warning message window when trying to open file directly (either by double-click or right-click context menu).

"Opening unknown files from strangers can be dangerous. The file can contain viruses and other things that can harm your computer."

That is a courteous warning, if not liability waiver, and is totally fine.

The problem is there is no option to disable future warnings after users fully acknowledged the risk. Excessive warning messages can reduce users' attention for important issues. Not to mention it is very annoying. Hopefully, not a sign of AV sponsorship/nagware.

I just found it simpler to change MY behaviour.

ie: Click "Open Containing Folder" instead.

It's just so tempting to get a quick view on those readme.txt before download completed.

Put it this way, if I'm going to withstand those poor designs, I might as well switch to another client with no problem.

Is there no way to turn off this moronic design? moronic in both app design and in how the app treats its users.

I'm pretty sure I used to be able to just open files all the time right from within utorrent files tab. is this not a more recent change to uT's behaviour?

It might. If no one complains it could get worse. as you can see I'm not the only one.

The developers also have choices, you seem to be forgetting that.

What happens in you open %userprofile%/downloads/ and open some of the files types there?

Then you are in a small minority and probably expect to find hot liquid in a cup of tea from McDonalds or "Sharp objects" in a pack of trimming knife blades.

Unfortunately the majority of the world's inhabitants ARE that stupid apparently and need reminding of the fact that they are stupid at every opportunity and the rest of us have to put up with it!
