ciaobaby
Uninstalling Norton's has usually cured most problems for me.
Mac-the-Knife
Write to disc access is denied is probably not a firewall issue. What version of utorrent are you using as it appears quite a few people had this problem with the 3.2. If you aren't using the latest 3.2.1 beta version, then update to it and see if you still get the problem. Also found this from DreadWingKnightDouble-check the security properties on your downloads folder, making sure your user account has full control. Also found a comment that said if an intivirus program was scanning a drive that it would lock it, therefore making it not available for downloads.
