fleshbug Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 Just as the topic says....The status light at the bottom of the clientis green, the built-in connection checker web page says my ports are open and receiving connections, yet every tracker I connect to says I'm unconnectable. The port I'm using falls within all of the trackers' allowed port ranges. If this has been covered in another topic somewhere, delete this post, I searched and diddn't see anything useful. It just boggles my mind how the various connection checkers can say my ports are accepting connections just fine, yet EVERY tracker I use that reports connectability says I'm not.Any help is appreciatedFleshBug
Ultima Posted April 22, 2006 Report Posted April 22, 2006 http://btfaq.com/natcheck.plDoes it say you're connectable? If not, have you configured your firewall properly (if you're using one)?
fleshbug Posted April 23, 2006 Author Report Posted April 23, 2006 tried the NATcheck, pass without a hitch.... as for the firewall, I'm running the station in question naked... no xp firewall, no hardware firewall. Even though some trackers are reporting that I'm unconnectable, I rarely have problems attaining close to my maximum bandwidth.... it's just that some trackers add a delay to downloading new torrents if you're not connectable..could it be a possibility that every tracker I'm connecting to is broken? or could it be an issue not of connectability, but rather the amount of connections I can have open simultaneously?I'm really lost on this one.[edit] odd, one tracker located somewhere in the Netherlands is reporting me as connectable... haven't seen that in months.. whereas another one is saying I'm still unconnectable.
