Trollhater56
I searched for 3 hours and could not find an answer for this. I am using a VPN with Utorrent and I seen my real ip address in the logger saying it was banned. I read that it bans your ip so you won't connect to yourself but shouldn't it show my VPN ip and not my real one? Does this mean my VPN is not working? thank you
ciaobaby
internal IP or external IP?
Trollhater56
external (public) I think
ciaobaby
That is because the torrent client cannot find the IP at the other end of the tunnel from the local routing table.Using PPTP (Point to Point Tunneling Protocol) does not change your external IP, it creates a ' secure tunnel' from point 'A', your external IP, through to point 'B', the IP of the VPN host.
