pelk Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 Hi,I´ve had to reformat my harddrive, and installed the latest ver of µutorrent. And now I´ve problem with that µtorrent says that the ports is closed, but I´ve forwarded the port in my Router (Netgear) and I allowed µtorrent in F-secure.. What more can I do?And `ve disabled DHT
Firon Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 You either didn't configure F-Secure properly, or you forwarded to the wrong IP.
pelk Posted April 23, 2006 Author Report Posted April 23, 2006 You either didn't configure F-Secure properly, or you forwarded to the wrong IP.how can I vheck if i forwarded to the right IP? Now Ive service type = TCP, Server IP address=198.162.x.xand how should I configure F-Secure?
Firon Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 Well, Start -> Run -> cmd /k ipconfigMake sure the IP Address there matches the one in your forward. As for configuring F-Secure, you have to allow ALL outgoing ports (1-65535) for TCP and UDP, and allow incoming on the port you specified.
pelk Posted April 23, 2006 Author Report Posted April 23, 2006 Well, Start -> Run -> cmd /k ipconfigMake sure the IP Address there matches the one in your forward.I got the right address ( I think I got 3 addresses : 1 "Netmask" 2) IP 2) standard gateway)But when checking in µtorrent I keep getting: !Checking port xxxxx on 83.250.138.50" that address I dont have as ipconfig
µtorrent-Guest Posted April 23, 2006 Report Posted April 23, 2006 you can check with this test if you are able to recieve incomming connections to your running torrent.http://btfaq.com/natcheck.plMake shure the line:"The test will be run on the IP address: 204.11.2.34" shows your actual WAN IP.Edit: The Ip you mentioned is your WAN IP! Its the IP your Modem(Router) has from the outside world seen (WAN). The 192.168.x.x is your LAN IP. (The number your Computer have in your local net) Other computers in the world can not connect to your computer 192.x.x.x direct. they can only connect to the number 83.250.138.50 In your Modem Router that has become this IP you must enter that the port you chose in µtorrent will be routed to your LAN IP 192.x.x.xEdit2take a look here for configuration helpwww.portforward.com

µtorrent-Guest Posted April 24, 2006 Report Posted April 24, 2006 no, your WAN IP is not 192. the 192 think is for LAN areas only. there are RFCs for that. Have the number not in my head. google for LAN adress specs in google or wikipedia ;-)Tada: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_networkJust going thru the basics on portforwarding.com might help you very much. Maybe your swedish IPS also have some basic help file section for setup thinks?!http://www.portforward.com/help/pfprogression.htm
