µTorrent 3.4 RC

The over-eager disc-overload message is probably going to be a bit more tricky, but we'll see.

Oh, it's not just the message.. it's the resulted throttling... :P Don't give up on it. I've sent you the exact build # that this regression has occurred in, so it should be relatively easy, just compare to the previous one...

I bet you just need to use a factor of 100 on that metric/counter, since you've forgotten it's in %... :)

high-CPU issue...Once we isolate the cause, we can assess how complex the fix will be.

You might save yourself time if you skip the 'assessing' part, since you *have* to fix it. Not fixing this root issue is not an option... ;p

You know, just posting the letters R-C on this thread, does not automatically make it so... ;) It should be as good as or better than 3.3.2... Right now, the only real new feature in this release - the auto-label<->path translator - is completely broken (or with unknown operating instructions...), so you might want to put some horse power into that too... ;)

I'm pretty sure I have everything in my own folder and nothing in %AppData%\uTorrent.

Will check when I'm home.

Edit: Checked' date=' nothing created there.[/quote']

Is that with a single instance running though?

Yes, it should not matter how many you use, they should use their respective folder, no? :P

or features that are not yet battle-tested

On a RC????

No' date=' not on an RC. The beta track works that way currently, but there is only one RC at a time.

Build 30305:

On torrent list the second column sort doesn't work

Still present in build 30379

Last working 30304 but not on 30300.

Still present in build 30428' date=' fix it please.[/quote']

Thanks for giving the version numbers, that will help a lot.

That would be the expected behaviour and IS the case for all the 3.3.n versions I tested, but with two instances of 3.4 on the same host machine it does NOT it appears that the path to resume.dat is hardcoded to $APPDATA%/utorrent. even ehen I set it on a different drive 3.4 still uses %appdata%/utorrent/resume.dat rather than a 'local' copy.

I only found it because I wanted several side by side v3.4.0.30409 comparisons to see what affected the "network pulse" amplitude or frequency. But it 'broke' the running install when doing so.

30345 and 30428: stuck in "downloading metadata"

Does this magnet link work?

magnet:?xt=urn:btih:E3811B9539CACFF680E418124272177C47477157&dn=ubuntu-13.10-desktop-amd64.iso&tr=http%3a%2f%2ftorrent.ubuntu.com%3a6969%2fannounce&tr=http%3a%2f%2fipv6.torrent.ubuntu.com%3a6969%2fannounce

Hey Rafi, could you please duplicate/note down the scrolling issue with the WebUI?

Basically it jumps (skips torrents in the process) as you scroll down provided you have enough torrents for it to do so.

I'm having to remote connect to the seedbox to avoid the issue.
