What's new?

That's the problem!

Although if no changelog is posted probably very minor adjustments.

Hello everyone, there are some difficult crashes we are working on in 3.4 - you may see a lot of builds with virtually no visible changes until we have isolated the problems.

Greetings uTorrent Forum,

As you're probably aware, the automatic update work was back-ported and released in 3.3.1

The new focus for 3.4 will be support for "updatable torrents", and "Bittorrent bundles"

We'll be running a test of the first phase of these new features over the next two days, and we'd like you to participate.

Forum User jknoll, of the Content Team will be available to answer questions about this first-of-its kind test.

To participate,

* Download uTorrent 3.4.29991 or later

* Download this torrent: http://apps.bittorrent.com/bt-bundles/BitTorrent-Public-Enemy-Get-Up-Stand-Up-Base.torrent

* Wait until 12pm PST, 1 August, 2013

At that time, we will "unlock" that test torrent, and you will have access to more content, from the same torrent!

After that time, we will look at our servers, and see how well the integration between uT and servers is working, and we'll update you in this thread.

Thank you for using uTorrent.

We are all still waiting for you to explain how should this new update system behave (by design) under different install scenarios, including stand-alone install case.

And is there going to be a live "Bug Track" to make it easier to track and report problems, because the forum format doesn't make it easy, hell! I'll even host a copy of Mantis for you. :)

Hello admin could you tell me, why you removed the pause button.what is the reason for that. we are familiar with pause button for the last 8 years.i know pause function present in context menu.But why you removed and why you made the search bar so huge in uTorrent 3.4 build.it looks so awful.In 3.3.1 or 3.3.2 search bar is still better.

Are there any clues as to which functions of the Preferences -> Label features are actually deemed to be functional and testing them is actually worthwhile?

Greetings uTorrent Forum,

As Adam mentioned, I'm available to answer any questions you might have about this "updatable torrent" test. Please let me know if you have any questions or run into any difficulties. I'll monitor this forum for feedback.

It's worth noting that the features we're testing are not limited to being used in "BitTorrent Bundles" — there are two related BEPs linked to below. We hope the ability to update a torrent file is a useful general purpose feature for the torrenting community, so please help us test even if you're not interested in BitTorrent Bundles. Thanks.

1. Compatibility to other clients - can any other BT client participate in that test now, either an earlier version of uTorrent or external?

2. Does libtorrent support this new feature, as a source for other clients to embed it?

3. Does this feature rely on the existing RSS feature and maybe is similar to it's existing smart-episodes-filter, and will any of those existing RSS related issues - get any attention as well anytime soon? http://forum.utorrent.com/viewtopic.php?id=44903
