andrew_blocker Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 So I'm running windows vista home premium, and I messed up with opening a .mkv file with VLC player and it ended up changing alot of things on my pc so I did a system restore and it just so happened to remove Utorrent from my programs list and when I went to re-install Utorrent with the file downloaded from your site(the link when you come to www.Utorrent.com not in the downloads section but on homepage) i double click the file and it automatically opens my utorrent from prior to the system restore normally this wouldn't really bother me but, I want to know how to uninstall and reinstall or whatever I need to do to be able to remove the program when I feel like it and not have it just hiding on my computer. anybody who could help it would be much appreciated.System specs.Windows Vista Home PremiumAMD Athlon(tm 64 Processor 3500+1.50 GB RAMRADEON X300/X550 Series(Microsoft Corporation-WDDM)if you need any additional information please let me know 8)

andrew_blocker Posted November 19, 2012 Author Report Posted November 19, 2012 If someone could help me that would be great considering I can't download anything I tried and it won't work because its not techniquely on my computer. but the program IS THERE but I can neither DELETE IT or re install it, to have it been seen my computer. I NEED HELP.
ciaobaby Posted November 19, 2012 Report Posted November 19, 2012 There seems to be no mention of programs and features in your first post, merely a vague reference to a "program list" which could be a couple of things.1: Delete %programfiles%\utorrent2: backup all .dat files in %appdata%\utorrent\3: Delete %appdata%\utorrent4: Backup your downloads5: backup your .torrent store directoriesreinstallput the .dat files in the same folder as utorrent.exe restart the uTorrent client.
