no seeding from a beginner

hello there......brand new here.

I have a problem with utorrent. I download things just fine and the seeding goes on when downloading but when downloading has finished everything remains with no seeding at all. the green bar says seeding but nothing happens.

prior to post this topic I did a search but find something with no solution on them. can tyou tell me what I do wrong or how to solve this issue?
