soverycold Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 Every time I start up utorrent, my avast! mail scanner intercepts a message being sent to [196-47-2-48.access.uunet.co.za] within ten or fifteen seconds of connection. Utorrent is the only program (including other p2p clients) that causes this. If this is a concern (and I suspect it is) how do you suggest I address it? It does not seem to be the problem mentioned here: http://utorrent.com/faq.php#Help.21_.C2.B5Torrent_is_sending_e-mails.2Faccessing_the_web.2Fetc.21 because of the specific address involved.
Firon Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I'm sure it is the same exact problem mentioned there. The anti-virus that thinks an e-mails being sent out because someone's remote port is 25 or 110.do you have any torrents open or have DHT turned on? if you do, there's probably some peer using that port as his incoming port.
