razor1974 Posted April 25, 2006 Author Report Posted April 25, 2006 thx for reply Firon !There is no seeders . I do not have a router. I have downloaded a few films already no problems at all.Is there a way I can see what the file is (that is missing) and what type of file it is? There seems to be some other fixes I`ve read about but I need this information first.CheersQuestion: Is it at all possible to download anything say that has a lot of peers but no Seeds ?If the answer is NO I will never bother downloading something without Seeds.
µtorrent-Guest Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 From the technical point of view. it is possible. In that case that the other leechers at least have in total a complete version of the file alltogether.Example with 4 "players" 1 seeder 3 leecher. seeder have seeded 1 full version of the file (aka. every piece at least once) 33.3% of the pieces have no1, 33.3% number2 and number 3 have the rest 33,4% percent. When the seeder now leaves the swarn, the swarn can still complete the file but the problem might be that number 3 with the 1 very important piece might be so selfish and leaves the torrent before the other 2 gets this piece from him! Therefore you have the Availibility Tab with a value. This number can be higher than 1 (which means more then a complete set of all pieces is from leechers availible) even when you are not connected to a 100% seeder but only to other leechers.
Firon Posted April 26, 2006 Report Posted April 26, 2006 Usually when there's no seeders, no, but you might get lucky.
