Mosquito Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 I have read many posts about how someone is having a speed problem where the speed doesn´t exceed a certain limit like for example 15 KB/s *poor guy*...or how they have a sudden surge of speed to say 50 KB/s then it drops again *it breaks my heart*...and how someone downloadd a 3 Gigs file in two days *I'm all tears now*...well here's the thing:You are fucking stupid cos u to this point you didn't realize that torrent downloading is all about other people's (seeders) behaviour...so basically if you are downloading a file from someone whose internet connection is LIMITED then your download speed will be limited. There are several reasons for a LIMITED connection:1- They're on fucking dial-up.2- They are fucking uploading to many peers at the same time.3- They have placed a limit on their fucking upload speed to your sorry ass so that they can maximise their own download speeds. So next time you are downloading a file at a speed of 5 KB/s don't fucking complain. And when you have a sudden increase in downloading speed, picture this:you are downloading a file from some low speed peers and suddenly some with a high speed connection who have the file goes online. He notices that you are sucking the file at a high speed and thus interfering with his own downloads so he decided to either boot or lower you sorry ass connection to him by playing with his settings.Oh & utorrent is working fine side by side with Zone Alarm at my end.
Ultima Posted April 25, 2006 Report Posted April 25, 2006 lol @ the asterisked comments xDAnyway, getting slow speeds on healthy torrents is a sign of something being messed up, so I would't say that people shouldn't complain at 5KiB/s... and yeah, ZoneAlarm works fine with some people's computers, and not on others. As Firon usually says, it's temperamental.
