ciaobaby
because you are NOT allowing uTorrent to close cleanly and shutdown whatever processes are active.

ciaobaby
use file -> Exitsimply killing the process is NOT going to save the settings AND is going to leave downloads at risk of being corrupted.

ciaobaby
You could use this -> http://code.google.com/p/cutorrent/ instead of just a "dirty" kill. You do need to install Python on your machine and activate the WebUI first though.
