Do open connections slow internet (even at 1kb/s upload)

I have a lot of torrents and organize them by having the most recently downloaded ones at the bottom, seeding at 1kb/s. My question is whether this will slow my internet at all? And if so, by how much? would it make a difference if I had 1 or 100 open connections seeding at 1kb/s?

Each job or global?

Connection ratings?

Queue setting?
