Will utorrent 2.2.1 work on windows 8?

I got a new laptop with windows 8 as the OS. Ive been doing a little bit of research online before installing utorrent and there has been a lot of negative experiences with the new utorrent 3. I know utorrent 2.2.1 for me was the best and for others as well. So, if install 2.2.1 would i have any problems with it on windows 8?
