griff6784 Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 No doubt a regular problem with idiotic utorrent users. I just deleted any silly tweaked settings I tried to sort the problem and came to you guys. For a few months now, I've been getting poor speeds. Never really got anything over a meg ever but I was satisfied with 600kb, now I struggle to get 200kb. I have a windows firewall with uTorrent as an exception, I've currently got it turned off however (the firewall that is). I am on sky broadband in the UK, up to 20m, (speed test recording 6.62mb upload speed 0.76mb). Port used, 53019, Max upload 0, Max download 0, Global max 200, Max number of connected peers 50, Upload slots 4. Any suggestions?
ciaobaby Posted December 20, 2012 Report Posted December 20, 2012 Client version and build? But you WILL only get 7mbps at the most, until BT Openreach have upgraded your exchange and street cabinets to fibre optic rather than copper. And judging by the results that a couple of friends are getting on Sky Broadband recently, 200kB - 250kB seems about normal.
griff6784 Posted December 20, 2012 Author Report Posted December 20, 2012 3.2.3 stable? I don't want to upgrade to anything else unless prompted with a new stable version, if I have to faff with it. That's a pretty shite speed. The UK is in the stonages I tell thee. Are there any tweaks within options which are advisable? I've been on sky for quite some time and did record better speeds than this.
