LambdaAttack Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 I had to re-seed a torrent from a few weeks ago but when I loaded the torrent and checked the files everything worked except it says i have 99.9%. Diving deeper i noticed that everything worked except for the last piece, piece 1911.Originally i thought It was maybe because i was missing a thumbnail or icon or the metadata changed or something like that but when i loaded it from my original computer with the files untouched, the same thing happened again. The last piece is just a small folder of ~50 or so thumbnails. Is there any way I can force the client to accept the files? I have all the files (same name, none appear to be corrupted).
DreadWingKnight Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 If you force a re-check and there is a piece missing, "forcing the client to accept the files" will end up with you seeding corrupt pieces and basically being useless for the piece(s) that fail validation.
LambdaAttack Posted December 25, 2012 Author Report Posted December 25, 2012 ehh i thought as much... would this be a glitch or a limitation? O.o
DreadWingKnight Posted December 25, 2012 Report Posted December 25, 2012 Limitation.Whatever's in that last piece doesn't match the torrent. There's nothing that can be done unless the files are BYTE-EXACT matches.
LambdaAttack Posted December 25, 2012 Author Report Posted December 25, 2012 okay so im guessing some metadata changedshould probably tarball it all next time
