hermespan
And I might add, who is a non-techie, middle aged, not having computer talents at all. After three days I have 30 questions and observations already (mostly questions!).They are all pretty basic, e.g...."What does 'health' mean--of the connection, incorruptability of the file?"The intro video by utorrent is darn useful, the FAQ good too. But the help file seems rather technical. I just mean a beginner's guide so I don't waste people's time on questions such as..."A source reads that there are 9 leechers, and 0 seeders. Should be great eh? Nothing happens though. What is the ideal ratio of seeders to leechers for maximum speed of downloadability? Is there anyway of telling in advance what sort of connection to leecher has?"
ciaobaby
Should be great eh? No.0 seeds = no one client has ALL the pieces, and the peers NOT leechers might have some of the pieces or NONE of the pieces. "What does 'health' mean--of the connection, incorruptability of the file?"Forget "health" look at "Availability" instead.ideal ratio of seeders to leechersSeeds: anything greater than 0. Peers anything less than or equal to 0Is there anyway of telling in advance what sort of connection to leecher has?"Peer! And no there isn't. I just mean a beginner's guideSo you didn't bother reading the basics in the manual then.
