webcache.dat not found after power loss

Hi

I have been using utorrent for a number of months without a problem until yesterday when the power went out .the machine comes up fine but utorrent is dead

the main problem seems to be with webcache.dat webcache.dat.new and webcache.dat.old

it can't find them .it also gets errors with the current files in the download cue

server started - using locale en_AU.UTF-8

I have tried reinstalling to no avail ..is there any temp file about that could be causing problems

i'd love to get this great piece of software working again

Could you please share with us how you solved it? I'm running in the same error without being able to fix it.

It seems that for some reason some browsers don't work when there is no webcache.dat present. IE went fine while Chrome didn't. I'll try to report back when I have some more time testing this.

well I think the server wasn't running but chrome still had the page in the cache ... in anycase if i accessed utorrent with another browser I didn't get the error ... it was a browser caching error
