Hi,

i have two PCs in a house network (with a hubswitch). uTorrent is installed just in one, but when i start it, it´s impossible to use Microsoft Internet programs (like Internet Explorer and MSN) on the secound computer.

The connection of this secound PC simple freeze. Programs like skype, vouip does very well.

What can I do?

Thanks for all.

"If it's running too fast, of course there will be nasty overloads" do not really agree with that. I have µTorrent and ABC and when I use µT and Fire Fox sometimes it freezes the browser and I have to ctrl+alt+delete and kill firefox.exe, its not just Fire Fox but also IE as well.

Well, i tried reducing the number of global connections, as Ultima wrote. Firon said about DHT (turning it off). I did it too. I got best results, but the problem is still happening.

My connection speed is 256 KB/s. Download speed at 15 KB/s and upload at 6 KB/s are the current configurations of uTorrent.

I´ll try now reducing more the global connections (putting it to 6). I guess it will work better.

Are there any other presets needed to use a LAN with two computers working in Internet as well as "no torrent" turned on?

Thanks.

Your LAN of 2 computers -- do they share a single internet ip address or do they have their own?

Also do they also have a LAN ip address, such as 192.168.0.101 for one and 192.168.0.102 for the other?

Yes Switeck.

A new beta MSN version was build and the problem seems to be solved. I could higher the download speed (putting it to 20 kb/s) and the number of global connections (putting it to 10).

After these changes, no problem occurs with the internet connection of the second computer. The IE also works well.

Thanks.

I am having the same problem but with Fire Fox. I have a 10 Mbit connection and whenever I run Utorrent, it takes like 1 minutes for a page to load. Any idea's how to solve this?
