the problem with deleting app data and ini files is you loose all the customised settings and columns

you like ticked on.. as the defaults always sucked plus skins and themes used..

you shouldnt have to delete stuff to get an update to work it

shoudl backup and insert or remove values it dont like for you

perhaps they need to write a app data cleaner without causing

a big impact on the setup you like

Is this New 3.3.1.29638 Beta, or Release Candidate? When I started uTorrent, it told me that there was a new Release Candidate 3.3.1 build 29638. Can you please clear this up?

Thank You.

when streaming a video' date=' sometimes a piece gets "stuck".[/quote']

Eventually, was the movie (including this piece) fully downloaded?

Sorry for the late reply. Yes it does eventually finish downloading. The problem is a "normal piece" is not converted to a "stream piece" (darker green) and it's not prioritized. It does get downloaded eventually, just ruins streaming.

Am I the only one

Yes... Do you see anything in the logger tab ?

I did not manage to get any descriptive info from the logger tab. Could you suggest on which types of logs should I enable?

I had the same problem with the last stable version as well, that is why I downloaded this one.

Could it have something to do with the fact that I am running Windows 8?

I have tried to run multiple commands in there, but even "calc.exe" doesn't seem to work.

Nothing, it should display a message when it runs the program. I'm with Win7, so maybe Win8 has something to do with it. Maybe try defining the exe with Win7 compatibility mode.

BTW, non of the last 4 auto-shutdown options work for me properly either (all only quit the client0. Can you test one of them on Win8?

hi again!

I tried the compatibility mode with windows 7, but it does not work either.

here are the logs:

and the last torrent (accepted launch), has already finished when I copied this. For testing, I still have calc.exe as a commandline to run.

regarding those auto-shutdown cases - you will have to wait a little, I have to run to work. :) I'll test them in the evening.

You should be seeing:
[2013-05-08 09:33:07] Executing: "d:\program files\utorrent\run-program.cmd - Shortcut" "F:\Downloads\BitTorrent\xxxxxxxxxxx"

well, nothing like that in my logs, unfortunately. Any other suggestions? When I get back home, I will try the same thing on some virtual machines to see if it works on a "Clean" windows installation, but what to do with the situation at hand?

You should ask some one withWin8 to confirm that it works. I tried cacl.exe in "run-program when DL completes", and it works too.

Open a cmd shell in c:\ and see if it works from there.

BTW, the devs confirmed an issue with those auto-shutdown options (that also run system commands) , so who knows what else is broken.

I know that calc.exe works. I have tried it both from "Run" window and from cmd as well.

But it would be great if someone with win 8 would check this out as well. Is anyone using win 8 here? :) guys? :)
