espo222
I recently restarted the computer and now the torrents are saving into a movie folder and not my download folder. I have all the directories set to the download folder and when i open a torrent to download, i see that it wants to save it in the movie folder and I have to manually change it each time. This just started happening. Any ideas?version 1.90 (290088) using mac lion on a macbook pro
espo222
it looks like that when I try to dl a torrent and the "add new torrent" box pops up, the label is checked next to movies, if I uncheck that, it auto changes the directory from the movie folder to the download folder, but it doesn't stay unchecked, I have to do that every time. espo222
i guess you can't turn off the new label function, so I had to delete utorrent and dl an older version without the labels.
tylervinyard
This crap happened to me as well. I think I found a permanent solution, though. Not sure all these steps are necessary, but here's what I did. For everything already downloaded, I removed all the labels auto-added to all my torrents, which happened to be Movies. I then right-clicked on all my torrents, chose Advanced then Set Download Location. I changed it to the folder I had originally intended for them to go. This way you can keep uploading. For my future downloads, I deleted all the new labels the new version of uTorrent created. Now my new downloads don't get labels added to them, and they follow my preferences for where downloads should go.I also temporarily stopped downloads from starting automatically, but after three new downloads I changed that setting back to where it was, and I haven't had any issues so far. PhilB
Thanks for that. I was having the same issue, but didn't know about the new labels. I just removed the new "Movies" label altogether. Hopefully, that just takes care of it. All my old torrents didn't have any labels.
Jack0817
Had the same problem as everyone else. Turns out that even though I told uTorrent not to use auto-labels, during the installation of the latest version, it created a Movies, Documents and Music label anyway. To fix, just remove them from the sidebar.
