mattin Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Hi im new here but i use µTorrent since about 3 month (earlier i used Azureus but it hav /Java/memory leaks peaks after over 1x hours working so i love small-crafted µTorrent )All is ok i have great transfers but 1 thing dont let me sleep heheh - i wanna change torrent name. I dont mean about torrent name in Total Commander or downloaded Folder/File ( it can be done in TCommander ) but how change name in download window inside µTorrent ?? I know its "hardcoded" in torrent file so i used small program (dont remember name of this utility - im in work) This program is developed to change tracker but there is also possibility to change displayed torrent name. But unfortunately when i do this ( change name) and load this changed torrent file there is no download Normally ( before change) there is lets say xxx/yyy seeds/peers but after change is 0/0 and no connect at all. I think there is something like hash inside torrent file and this not allow me to change properly. What can be done whit this issue ? I download a lot o files (about 20 at 1 time ) and want clead mess in download view by changing names of downloaded stuff. Please help me
µtorrent-Guest Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 in the actual "semi-public" beta version this ability to change the displayed name is implemented.
Wobbud Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 You just need to click on the torrent within in the list view, pause for half a second or so and click it again. You will then be able to change the name. It's the same slow double-click as changing the name of a file in Windows.
mattin Posted May 2, 2006 Author Report Posted May 2, 2006 Wobbud ---> it doeasn work for me. i paused the torrent and slow double click on it and no name edit like in WindowsI must try this "semi-public" version
Wobbud Posted May 2, 2006 Report Posted May 2, 2006 Yeah I think it's only available on the latest beta.
danzig Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 i use utorrent 1.7.4 and pressing F2 works!
Ultima Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 ... And you're replying in a more-than-2 year old thread discussing a more-than-2 year old feature, using a more-than-1 year old version as an example... O_o
Firon Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 Yeah, you need to update to a RECENT version. Like 1.8.
