tekin
So my hard disc was full and I copied stuff to an external hard drive and deleted them on my hd. But my speed slowed down to about 20 kB/s even though I'm downloading some torrents with tons of connected seeders. I really don't have a clue how deleting some irrelevant stuff (movies, music, etc.) can affect my download/upload speed but it has affected it drastically. Thank you for your help in advance! fidodido
Its probably only a coincidence in deleting those movies and decrease in speeds. The issue is somewhere else.
tekin
Yeah you're probably right but I thought maybe someone has some similar experience or something anyway thanks. Btw I also deleted some files from appdata/roaming.
ciaobaby
Getting the "And by the way" along with the main message is always useful. So what did you delete from the "roaming profile" directory??
tekin
I deleted some incomplete downloaded files from my IDM folder, may have deleted some other things but I honestly cannot remember. But I'm sure I didn't delete anything from uTorrent folder. tekin
Please help me someone! It's been 20 kB/s for three days now!
ciaobaby
Do you want guesses or are you going to provide some information to base a diagnosis on?
tekin
I don't know. I didn't change any settings. I just didn't use uTorrent for a week or so and since I've started to use it again it's stuck on 20 kB/s.
ciaobaby
Have you checked your line speed (speedtest.net)Have you run Glasnost tests?Have you read the pinned thread in this section?
tekin
Yeah I've checked my line speed and I've taken Galsnost tests. I read pinned threads here and I noticed something. Whenever I change some settings (whatever, it doesn't depend on the specific setting) and press apply my speed suddenly increases to 600 kB/s but gradually decreases to the same 20 kB/s speed and remains there.
