Solos
Hello,I've been using uTorrent on Windows for a long time. Now I switched to Mac and can't figure out how to set preferences to make uTorrent save .torrent files to directory I choose, not always on the desktop. Can someone help me explaining step by step what I should do?Best regards,Solos
DreadWingKnight
What browser are you using?
Solos
Firefox 19 for Mac. Is that relevant? I thought it should be somewhere in uTorrent settings.
DreadWingKnight
Are you choosing to save the torrents first then open them from firefox's download list or just open them straight?
Solos
I choose to open them straight.
Andreasvb
Pretty sure he means the option "Store .torrents in", like in Windows: http://shadowhelp.files.wordpress.com/2010/12/ut_pref2.pngNot sure if that's available in the Mac version. Solos
I've tried this option - it exists in Mac version, but it doesn't work. At least in my case, maybe I'm doing something wrong
chsjsb
in the preferences for utorrent, in the "directories" tab, you can choose where to put downloaded files and torrents. you can specify folders for all of them.
oldybut
1. Apparently, you have told your browsers to download to the desk top.2. The Mac version does store a *copy* of the torrent where you tell it to.3. Preferences>> Directories > Location of torrents> Automatically load ---- under that is the option to delete the loaded torrent. Selecting THAT option will delete the original torrent, but not the stored copy.
