hypnose Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 Hi!Something weird is happening with utorrent. Next to 'downloaded:' in the 'Transfer' section, it displays 900MB when the file is only 300MB. This is a file still being downloaded, so the MB reading consistently changes. Underneath all of this, it tells me how much I've really downloaded (in the 'general section').Am I doing something wrong? If someone has already posted in regards to this topic, I apologise. If you could forward a link, that'd be great.
µtorrent-Guest Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 what is the "Wasted: xx hashfails" value in the same spot little to the right?Maybe you have a poisoned torrent there.
hypnose Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 It says '322.7' (495 hashfails)It happens on all of my torrents.
µtorrent-Guest Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 On all of your torrents?!Whoops, so either you just download copyrighted stuff where the torrents are heavily poisoned, or you have a network equippment piece/or setting that corrupts all the pieces you are getting.Read the FAQs and the stickies regarding problems with different equipment or settings like DMZ.Try a torrent from legaltorrents.com if your other torrents are of that kind we are not can discuss here about to see if your networkequippment is the caouse for the hashfails.
DreadWingKnight Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 What do the OpenOffice Torrents do for you?
hypnose Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 Thanks for your help, mate. I appreciate it.DWK - I'll download and let you know.edit: OpenOffice seems to be downloading fine. Running at full speed.[use EDIT. Don't double post.]
DreadWingKnight Posted May 3, 2006 Report Posted May 3, 2006 All of them?Just the ones you choose to download. If OpenOffice downloads fine, it's a problem with the swarms having many peers that send out corrupted pieces in an attempt to reduce swarm performance.
hypnose Posted May 3, 2006 Author Report Posted May 3, 2006 Thanks for the information - appreciate the responses.
