Red signal but uploading at 50kB/s

I cant seem to figure out if I forwarded my ports correctly. I went to portforward.com and followed the steps. WindowsXP sp1 firewall is not on. No software firewalls. When I run the portforward check within the utorrent program it tells me my "port does not apear to be open". But what I dont understand is that I can average about 50kB/s uploading. Does that seem like an upload speed of a blocked port?

My real concern is that I need to get my ratio up on a certain site and the file I need to upload is only averaging at about 2kB/s. Not sure if its not a popular torrent or my port is blocked. One thing for sure is that whether I am uploading at 2kB/s or at 50kB/s the signal is usually yellow and never green. As of this moment I am uploading a file at 55kB/s and the signal is RED! Any suggestions?

Turn off UPnP, and check your forwards again. Make sure you forwarded to the IP in Start -> Run -> cmd /k ipconfig

Do you have any anti-virus? Or any security software at all?
