UTorrent Crashes Upon Start (Always)

Starting today Utorrent crashed always upon start

ive uninstalled, deleted appdata data, the stuff in Program Files.

Ive basically tried everything i could, considering im not much of a tech geek.

Running on win7 btw and when i run it, it loads for a couple of seconds doesnt open up

but instead opens up the windows troubleshooter, and in the problem details i found this.

Have you checked the list of incompatible software in the user manual?

uninstalled the firewall that was on the list of incompatible programs and still not working! :mad:

I am having the same problem! Just started this morning. I've done everything you listed as well, now I can't even re-install uTorrent without getting the APPCRASH error message. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - as it is, I may have to switch bit torrent clients.

I originally installed utorrent in 2011 on this computer, never updated it. I began recieving the error message this morning - I have no firewall on my system at the moment nor have I installed any new programs or changed any settings since yesterday when uTorrent was working fine. Even attempting to uninstall resulted in that same message - I had the manually delete all traces of uTorrent from Program Files, App Data etc before the uninstall would even initialize. After a successful uninstall via windows I attempted to re-install uTorrent after downloading the latest version fresh from the homepage of this website - error message reared its ugly head and I turned here for help.

Not sure what that means, but I can tell you for sure that Norton isn't active as it keeps reminding me on a twice daily basis. Do you think Norton is causing the problem? As I mentioned, nothing on my computer has been changed until today when I installed hijackthis. Expired Norton and uTorrent have been running side by side for months with no problems.

Run the norton removal tool if it's expired. It can still interfere while in its current state.
