Bytec Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Azureus has a very good feature. Download queue can be sorted by any column and then if I "select all" and press "move up" button, then download queue order will be sorted the same way. So if I sort my torrents asscending by size and do the trick with queue sorting, then torrents with smaller size will be downloaded first... For example I have 3 torrents downloading:#1 Torrent1 size 700MB#2 Torrent2 size 15MB#3 Torrent3 size 4,3GB And if I sort by size:#2 Torrent2 size 15MB#1 Torrent1 size 700MB#3 Torrent3 size 4,3GB In Azureus after "select all" and "move up" the queue would be:#1 Torrent2 size 15MB#2 Torrent1 size 700MB#3 Torrent3 size 4,3GB Currently µTorrent queue can be sorted by any column, but queue order doesn't change. I thougth it would be handy to have this feature.
chaosblade Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 The queue order is currently not tied to the listview itself.I think this is even a better way to do it, since you can set the queue to whatever you want (number column, updown buttons and popup features), and you can still sort the list in whichever way you prefer without losing queue order (which would happen in azureus, as far as i understand ?)
Bytec Posted October 18, 2005 Author Report Posted October 18, 2005 That is exactly what I want. I want to change order of my torrents so that the smallest one is downloaded first and so on.... But now torrets ar ordered as they was added... I whant to reorder the queue, but only way to do it is to do it manualy by presing "move up" or "move down". Take a look at my previous post where I put an example. Sorting by any column does not affect the download order or am I wrong?
chaosblade Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Like i said, The only thing that effects the downloading order is the queue (# Column indicates that), Changeable with the move up move down functions. Sorting the list does not effect the queue at all.
drpiety Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 The sorting and queue is almost perfect now. What bothers me is that if you choose sorting chronologically this is done for the queued torrents and the downloading torrents but not for the done/seeding.The done seeding is in alphabetical order not in order of seeding first to last. This is really something I miss as I dont see what was finished last when i left my PC for longer time. Definitively needed in my opinion.
