utorrent wont fully shut down and active torrents disappear

I noticed it about 2 or 3 stable releases ago.

When I close utorrent It shuts down and "closes" but when I try to reopen the applicaation I get a message that another instance of utorrent is already running. The only way to fix this is to use task manager and end the task manually before I can open the application again.

Another issue I noticed starting around the same release was that if I leave the client open for a while eventually I'll come back to the computer to find no active torrents. Torrents will become active immediately after restarting utorrent.

I do keep a lot of torrents seeding/idling at all times.. But it has never caused these issues with previous releases and I have even scaled back on the amount I am seeding.
